Summary

The September 11th terror attacks caused big casualties and property losses, and they also produced impacts upon the U.S. economy, with the extent varying from industry to industry. Some industries, like the airline and insurance industries, were tremendously affected and it may take years for them to recover. Some industries, such as the retailing and entertainment industries were not seriously affected, and they may recover relatively quickly. Some industries, like the oil and advertising, will depend on the overall economic recovery.
